Scotland has a long history of Christianity. Scotland is under the patronage of Saint Andrew the Apostle and Queen Saint Margaret of Scotland, but there are many other saints who have influenced the country. Some of our most famous Saints are Ninian, Kentigern, Columba, Patrick and John Ogilvie.
Today there are eight dioceses in Scotland. The Catholic Church in Scotland is now overseen by the Bishops’ Conference of Scotland.
