Every Jubilee Year brings thousands of pilgrims to Rome. A group from St. Cadoc’s, Newton Mearns, was the first group to pay a visit to the Scots College…
On a beautiful February day in Rome, the Scots College community welcomed a group of Scottish pilgrims to the Via Cassia. The 40 strong group from St. Cadoc’s, led by their parish priest, Monsignor Thomas Monaghan, arrived in the late afternoon, and celebrated Mass in the college chapel.
Afterwards, some of the college seminarians gave tours of the building, pointing out the distinctive stain glass windows in and around the chapel, then visiting the crypt chapel, the library and other features of interest, before ending the tour in the refectory where refreshments awaited the pilgrims.
Before leaving for their dinner in a nearby restaurant, the group and the college community posed for a picture to record their visit. Buon Viaggio!
