A new national novena for vocations to the Priesthood has been launched at the Scots College, by the community in conjunction with Priests for Scotland. The Novena will run from Saturday 9th April.
This weekend, the new national novena in Scotland for vocations to the Priesthood begins. People and parishes across Scotland are being encouraged to join with the Scots College community in praying the novena that will conclude on Good Shepherd Sunday, 17th April.
Speaking about the novena, the Bishop of Paisley, John Keenan, the President of the National Vocations Commission highlighted how each letter from the word ‘Shepherds’ can provide additional focus. He suggested, amongst the nine terms, words such as Serve, Evangelise, Pray and Dedicate, will add another dimension on which we can reflect whilst praying the novena.
Every day during the period the Scots College Facebook Page will feature a member of the community praying the prayer of that day.
If you would like to join the novena then contact Fr. John Morrison for your own digital copy.
